Copernicus is an office and residential complex on Rue de la Loi in Brussels. The former building was replaced by a new development with more than 13.000 m² of office space, 12 apartments, an underground car park and an inner courtyard garden.
The project
Copernicus was developed by Alides to a design by LD2 Architecture. Algemene Bouw Maes was responsible for construction. Demolition of the existing basement and construction of the new underground car park were major parts of the works. The location on the busy Rue de la Loi also required careful planning of construction activities and deliveries.
The complex achieved BREEAM Excellent certification for Core & Shell. The design includes triple glazing and a green roof. Alfa Technical Installations nv provided the technical installations, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
Products supplied
BELPARTS supplied Alfa Technical Installations nv with more than 500 dynamx™ DXN6 6-port flow control valves and 28 DXMB_C flow control valves.
The DXN6 flow control valves combine water flow regulation with changeover between heating and cooling. In addition to the valves, BELPARTS supplied various sensors from its energetx™ range.
