OXY is the redevelopment of the former Centre Monnaie on Place de la Monnaie in Brussels. Built in 1971, the former bpost headquarters is being transformed to accommodate offices, apartments, a hotel, and restaurants and bars. The renovation preserves the character of the existing building while improving its connection to the surrounding public spaces.
The project
OXY is being developed by Immobel and Whitewood to a design by Snøhetta and Binst Architects. Cordeel is responsible for construction. The former office building is being adapted for different users, with features including terraces and a public roof garden.
Imtech Belgium NV is responsible for the HVAC installations. Heat pumps provide heating and cooling. The offices are fitted with climate ceilings, while the hotel and apartments use fan coil units. The mix of building functions requires the systems to be tailored to the use of each space.
Products supplied
BELPARTS supplied Imtech Belgium NV with various dynamx™ flow control valves. The supply included more than 500 DXN6 6-port flow control valves, alongside DXMB and DXU flow control valves.
The DXN6 6-port flow control valves (changeover) combine water flow regulation with switching between heating and cooling. BELPARTS also supplied more than 100 RBV control ball valves from its energetx™ range.
